RGCD #03, Retro North & The RGCD Shop!

21st July 2007 by James Monkman

Apologies for the recent lack of updates, but the reason is because here at RGCD HQ we've been really busy scheming and working on a couple of new projects. With the website receiving far more hits than we'd ever anticipated and the discmag increasing in popularity ever month, we figured it was about time to announce our latest venture; the RGCD Shop...

RGCD have teamed up with some of the best homebrew developers to bring you the RGCD cart project - top GBA homebrew games on cartridge, sold at cost price and in very limited quantities. Our first cart release is Grumpy Cat's awesome 'Thrust Advance', a tribute to the Firebird classic of old and quite probably one of the best examples of quality retro gaming available for Nintendo's single-screen handheld.

In other news, Issue #03 is coming together nicely and will be ready for release at Retro North, the North's answer to the UK retro gaming scene. We'll be present and correct at the event (well, me, SirClive and Ruari will), with our own stall complete with two emulation PC's (showcasing the best games highlighted in RGCD) and some other random shit. Oh, and a whole bunch of homebrew GBA carts for sale at silly prices as well as free copies of RGCD #01, #02 and #03 to give away to our fellow 'retro lamers' (as the wife calls us). Note that those of you who are not going to Retro North will have to be patient - Issue #03 will probably be uploaded during the week following the event.

Finally, RGCD #02 has been updated with a few minor corrections and the latest version of Echoes, now complete with new 'Crack' unlockable mini-game. Bonus!

I'll be back again in a few days with more news and perhaps another release for sale in our online store...
