Edge Grinder (WIP) (C64)

Work continues on our forthcoming C64 cartridge release at a breakneck pace, with all of Smila's new graphics complete and in the game, the level design finished and even the box art ready for the final release!  All that remains is the arduous task of implementing the enemy wave patterns and then somehow shoehorning the whole lot into 16KB.

For those of you wanting to see the game in action (albeit briefly), T.M.R recently posted a video up on youtube of the game using the old sprites, but showing off some of Smila's superb map design.  I've added an embedded version below for your viewing pleasure - hopefully it won't be long before we can announce the release date.

  2. Hi there Kitty, thanks for your comment. The game will be available for free download as a .PRG or .D64, or for purchase in cartridge format (boxed and with instructions). The price is likely to be around £17 plus shipping (under £20 total, regardless of where you are in the world).

  5. Sorry Bieno64 - I'm not in a position to give a date yet. It's nearly finished, but there is still a fair bit to be done - and the time that takes depends on T.M.R's workload and motivation! :)

As soon as the *.rom image is ready, the turn around time required to create the carts will be a matter of days. I'll keep on posting updates here, and announce the release on C64.sk, so don't worry :)

  7. Well, that decision is up to Kenz and T.M.R :)

  13. I've spoken with T.M.R about this, and there is no reason why it shouldn't be NTSC compatible... we will test it before release, don't worry :)
